The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is the only at-home peel I have found with IMMEDIATE results. And I’ve tried them all. The $150 doctor brand pads, the $120 French peeling toners, everything. In fact, the Ordinary Peeling Solution is somehow only $7 USD and is simply the most effective glass bottle I have come across in a long time.
THE ORDINARY PEELING SOLUTION REVIEW
The Ordinary’s innovative formulation exfoliates and regenerates your skin so you’re left with skin radiance and a beautiful smooth texture.
It’s comprised of 30% Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic/Lactic/Tartaric/Citric), 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid), Hyaluronic Acid Crosspolymer, Vitamin B5, Black Carrot and Tasmanian Pepperberry — and it’s magical.
Alpha hydroxy acids exfoliate the skin’s top surface for a brighter and smoother complexion. Beta hydroxy acids (BHA) exfoliate the skin while simultaneously cleaning up the clogged pores. This combined 32% AHA/BHA teamwork offers a more profound exfoliation and fights visible blemishes delivering an incredible radiance. The peel made my skin completely smooth!
And lastly, The Ordinary Peeling Solution contains a Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to help reduce irritation associated with acid use. For me, this meant zero irritation and redness. This formula is further supported with a crosspolymer form of hyaluronic acid for comfort, Vitamin B5 to assist healing and black carrot as an antioxidant.
I experienced no sensitivity to the formula, however, perhaps it is because I am accustomed to acids and peels. If you’re not the everyday user, I would listen to the following warning offered on their website.
Note: This formula contains a very high concentration of free acids. We recommend use only if you are an experienced user of acid exfoliation and your skin is not sensitive. – THE ORDINARY
It’s so easy peasy and takes a mere 10 minutes of your time.
Clean your face and wait for it to dry completely. (Do not apply on wet skin.)
Apply the solution across the face and neck with your clean fingers or a cotton pad.
Leave on for 10 minutes (and no longer!).
Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Use twice a week and wear sunscreen. (The AHAs and BHAs may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun.)
With this only costing $7.00 a bottle, I’m going to start using this for the back of my hands!
