KISHU CHARCOAL STICKS

BOO ON PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES :: SAY HELLO TO KISHU CHARCOAL STICKS!

One of my New Year’s  resolutions is to get rid of as much plastic in the house as possible.  That would be water bottles, sippy cups, Tupperware, etc.  So to aid me in the fight for environmental salvation (and personal health!) are KISHU CHARCOAL STICKS.  I love my bottled water — but I’ve been slowly but surely putting them to rest.  So long, dear alkaline water.

KISHU CHARCOAL STICKS are water filters that Ben Greenfield (one of my favorite health and fitness podcasters) turned me onto.

They’re plastic free and made from the finest Japanese activated charcoal — and they’re 100% green and eco-friendly.  (The activated charcoal bonds with toxins such as lead, mercury and chlorine.)

The best part is it’s easy!  No landfill mess — and no cleanup / discarding of water filters.  I just pop the charcoal sticks into my glass water bottle and my kids’ Klean Kid Kanteens!

“Kishu is the simple, green, cost-effective way to provide families delicious, filtered tap water.  Kishu is easy to use, long-lasting and has a second life as an odor absorber (refrigerator, etc.) when it’s water purification life-span has expired,” founder Judith Bershof tells SHE SAID.

Easy.  Smart.  Responsible.
