And my favorite:  a wardrobe shift. Here are the spring summer fashion trends to watch for!

SPRING SUMMER FASHION TRENDS 2019

I had a chat with John McDavid Lehman III (founder and creative director of the stunning, uber quality Made in LA leather goods line, R.B. of McD) — and inquired about how he foresees this summer’s styles.

Lehman is a third generation Angeleno whose own style and individuality is as deeply embedded and inspired by the aesthetics and cultural identity of the city he grew up in as the fashion he designs.  Urban, funky and rooted from pop culture — and an influence in all global aesthetics.

CLOTHING FUNCTIONALITY

With R.B. of McD as well as his other line McMarden (which he runs with girlfriend Anastasia Marden), their focus is less on trend and more on the design requirement of comfort & functionality.

The beauty of leather is that it can block the chill but will breathe as long as it is lined with a natural fabrication. We always line McMarden with a natural rayon, a poly-blend is not your friend during the summer.”

Lastly, (and I personally love this one) he suggests the exaggerated clutch.  “Summer is going to be all about that one statement piece.”
