After the pilot episode, I did a rave review on this hot new show. I’m obsessed with BETTER THINGS because the chaos and messiness depicted is exactly my life — and the cast is dead on incredible! And the opening theme song, “Mother” sets the foreshadowing tone that this is going to be so darn good. I don’t know what they paid to license it, but it is well worth the price. (If you missed last week’s episode, you need to catch it stat before tonight’s episode airs.)
Lucky me was able to see the second episode earlier this week — and it’s even more of a riot. You hear Sam’s pain, you feel her pain, you live her pain. (And I heard through the grapevine that the episodes keep getting even better and more brutally frank and pee in your pants funny!)
Without any spoilers, let’s just say this second episode starts with a scene in the gyno’s office, a prod here and there — and then is followed with scenes with her ubiquitous mother, exasperated sighs from her children – and relatable reminders that your absolute best is pleasing no one except. Well, no one. It’s a comedic and dramatic hoot. So watch it.
